SVP/VP: Clinical/Medical, RA/QA, Labs | Well-funded, Unique Early Stage Dx/AI

Cornerstone has been retained by a cutting-edge, growth-minded California-based startup focused on Diagnostics and AI.  They are developing novel, transformational technology that will have a direct positive impact on patients.  Reporting to the CEO, you will have responsibility for all Lab Operations, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Quality.

Our client is looking for someone who can lead strategy and execution while growing the functions internally.  They must also serve as a critical external strategic partner across regulatory authorities, reimbursement, business development/investors, KOLs, etc.

Location

Our client is in California.  They are open to considering someone remote if they are the right fit.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • A medical degree is required.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience across Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Quality within Biotech, Pharma, Diagnostics and/or Medical Device
  • Demonstrated track record leading relationships and/or discussions with thought leaders, investors, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • People and Team management experience is required.
  • Must be a “hands-on”, “roll-up-the-sleeves” leader who understands the need for involvement and accountability within a small company environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; high “emotional intelligence” to enable favorable group dynamics, ability to influence others at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Open-minded and risk-tolerant; not afraid to push and be pushed back.
