Global Commercial Head – RETAINED SEARCH

  • Lead global pipeline strategy, product development, launch preparation, and commercialization for a fast-growing, stable, and profitable small oncology-focused pharma ($1.5Bn revenue / $6Bn market cap)

Cornerstone Search Group is pleased to partner again with an oncology-focused, fully-integrated, profitable global pharma that is healthy financially ($1.5Bn sales / $6Bn mkt cap) and has a very positive work environment and renowned culture. With a product portfolio featuring a fast-growing oncology blockbuster and a late-phase, first-in-class oncology asset anticipated to also achieve blockbuster status, our client is in a very active phase of building out their pipeline through both extensive in-house research across multiple modalities (ADC / bsAb / small molecule) and in-licensing efforts. This newly-created commercial head position will lead our client’s global pipeline strategy, product development, launch excellence, and commercial activities. Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial commercial professional who is passionate about oncology drug development, has a proven track record in pharma/biotech oncology pipeline building / product development strategy / launch preparation activities, and who values working in close collaboration with high EQ, high integrity professionals in a low bureaucracy environment.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: Our client will consider candidates who require an H-1B transfer, TN-Visa, or equivalent, as well as Green Card / Permanent Resident sponsorship.

New York Metro Area (on-site or hybrid)

This on-site or hybrid role is based in our client’s New York Metro Area office. Our client prefers local candidates (i.e., NJ, NY, PA, CT) or candidates along the Eastern seaboard (e.g., MA, MD, DC, NC, DE).

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES in a NUTSHELL:

  • Build and implement global pipeline and product strategy
  • Accountable for strategic commercial planning and implementation
  • Oversees business development search and evaluation
  • Lead global marketing, insights, and analytics
  • Lead and/or support cross-functional teams working across Discovery, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, and Commercial.
  • Develop relationships with academic research institutions and KOLs.

Qualifications / Requirements

DESIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCES / BEHAVIORS:

  • Proven record in oncology pipeline strategy, product development, product launch, and commercialization.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and implementation within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain scientific relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience in business development, including search and evaluation.
  • Skills in global marketing, insights, and analytics are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the US oncology marketplace
  • High emotional intelligence coupled with a commitment to a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MS / PhD / PharmD / MD/ MBA) in scientific, medical or business discipline is a plus.
