Chief Commercial Officer | Growth-mode Public Biotech, Boston/Cambridge area

Our client is a publicly traded, well-funded Biotech located in the Boston/Cambridge area.  They have a very attractive first-in-class pipeline/technology and you’d be joining with the opportunity to establish the Commercial and cross-functional strategy from scratch, during its most critical stage.  They are looking for an experienced CCO with extensive strategic planning across pipeline, launch, access, collaboration (internal/external), etc.

Our client is looking for a dynamic commercial executive that thrives in a smaller company environment, ready to explode with growth – someone that has strong emotional intelligence and executive presence that also likes to be collaborative, drive strategy, and get your hands dirty.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing executive-level Commercial leadership, oversight, strategy, planning and cross-functional guidance across the Commercial organization.
  • Build, lead, and scale the Commercial organization from scratch.
  • Serve as a trusted and strategic Commercial advisor and partner to the CEO, other C-suite executives, and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively across all stages of R&D, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.
  • Hands-on executive leadership and execution across all Commercial capabilities.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 10+ years of Commercial leadership experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry ideally with tenure in both larger pharma and smaller/growing biotech.
  • Experience within Immunology/Inflammatory diseases is required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced/dynamic culture.
