This is a unique opportunity with a Top 20 Global Pharmaceutical Industry leader, where you will be its first VP, Product Development leading the development of Drug-Device Combinations for existing and new therapies. Not only will have the opportunity to create the first set of footprints in this new VP role, but you will also lead the creative and holistic thinking to evaluate and determine the why, what, and how this Global Pharma Leader can provide its patients with a better treatment solution than the current SOC utilizing and combining state-of-the art drug delivery technologies, MedTech, smart devices, sensors and more. The goal is to provide patients suffering with rare and chronic diseases that must receive treatments through infusions/injections in hospitals/clinics better treatment options and a better quality of life along the entire patient journey/treatment paradigm.

In this VP role, you will use your drug-device combination product development experience and your leadership skills to see the “big picture” and to move the “big picture” thinking into a patient reality. In essence, you are the CEO of this new undertaking where you will work closely with many Functional Area SMEs to layout the plans, budgets, stage gates, go and no-go decisions, risk mapping etc. to develop transformational patient QOL treatments that are better treatment options for patients, HCPs, and payers, and that are also accessible (considering Market Access, HEOR/Value, and Reimbursement considerations too).

  • An advanced degree is highly preferred, e.g., MS, MBA, PhD
  • A proven track record of leading the programs to develop new drug-device combination products
  • Proven track record of effectively leading multi-functional global teams to achieve objectives
  • Strong communication skills, i.e., writing, oral and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate, negotiate, and influence others at all levels
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting and communicating with Sr. Level Management (ad-hoc & formal)
