Sr. Medical Director | Oncology Translational Medicine Leader | Advance Bench 2 Bedside Targets | Top Boston Onc Biotech

Summary:

You will use your Medical (M.D.) and Research/Scientific (PhD) qualifications, experiences and accomplishments to lead the Translational Medicine (TM) activities for multiple novel oncology discoveries to help prioritize, deprioritize and optimize them, and develop preclinical and early-stage clinical development plans that will help bring them from the bench to the bedside sooner vs. later. As a Translational Medicine Leader, you will direct/lead/manage other Physicians and Physician Scientists on the Oncology TM team. You and your team will provide the important medical knowledge, and firsthand experience of cancer patients’ treatments and their journeys through the treatment process that will be invaluable to designing effective and efficient medical and scientific strategies to successfully develop important novel oncology treatments safely, efficaciously and swiftly.

This is a very attractive opportunity for an Oncology Physician Scientist (Hem/Onc MD with a PhD) seeking an opportunity to have a significant impact on developing multiple novel oncology treatments with various  Mechanisms of Action (MOAs) to treat multiple cancers. Along with joining a Global Oncology Leader with a very deep and diverse pipeline of in-house (discoveries from the company’s in-house Oncology R&D Team) and external in-licensing, acquisitions and collaborations too. Qualifications/requirements:

  • MD and PhD (a Physician Scientist)
  • Hematologist and/or Oncologist
  • Strong combination of both industry and academic research Translational Medicine experience
  • Experience managing/leading professional
  • Strong communication (writing and presentation skills) and people skills
  • Personal attributes: inquisitive, team player, collaborative, learner, flexible attitude
