In this very important Clinical Development Leadership position, you will play a significant role to help bring multiple important Rare Disease therapies to patients. You will lead a team of MDs accountable for the global later-stage development of multiple novel therapies to treat important autoimmune and neurological diseases and disorders. You will be part of a Company that has successfully discovered and developed complex novel therapies to treat multiple Rare Diseases, and that has been recognized as a Top Industry Innovator and Top Global Rare Diseases (RD) Leader too. LOCATION, RELOCATION AND WORK REMOTELY FROM HOME: Company is in the Boston, MA area. Company offers relocation assistance. Company will consider highly-qualified candidates that live outside of the Boston area that cannot relocate, i.e. will need to work remotely from his/her home, and travel to Boston as needed (post COVID-19) for important team, program and leadership meetings.


  • Develop multiple later-stage novel and important therapies to treat major Rare Diseases
  • Lead, manage, develop, and mentor a team of 6+ MDs to develop multiple late-stage therapies
  • Medical Strategy: make significant medical strategy contributions to each program and the entire RD TA
  • Visibility: report directly to the Head of RD TA, and N-1 from Head of R&D
  • Impact: communicate directly with TA and Sr. Management regarding focus, strategies etc. for the RD TA

  • MD is required, and a PhD is a big plus
  • Later-stage clinical development experience (Phase 3 registrational studies/trials experience)
  • Direct/matrixed multi-functional management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a nimble, and less cumbersome organizational structure, i.e. high visibility, swift decision-making etc.
